University of Gloucestershire: Gloucester Branch & Cheltenham Branch
The University of Gloucestershire has campuses in Gloucester and Cheltenham. There is currently no university ringing society but the towers in and around Gloucester and Cheltenham warmly welcome all ringers coming to study and can provide ringing at all levels of experience. Anyone who doesn’t already ring but wishes to learn, will be made equally welcome. Please contact Steve Coleman on 01452 831197 ().
“We have a very friendly band & all our practices end with a few drinks at our local village club. Churchdown is situated half way between Gloucester and Cheltenham so is suitable for students at both campuses.
We practice on Mondays at 7:45. Service ringing on 3rd Sundays is at 10:00 & on the 1st/4th Sundays at 17:00 during BST & 14:30 during GMT months.”
Anyone at Cheltenham or Gloucester will be very welcome at St Marks Cheltenham. Situated on the main link road the tower is easily accessible by public transport. We have a friendly and welcoming band catering to a wide range if ability. A good pub is always visited after.
We ring for Sunday Service on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month 9:40-10:3 and practice Monday evenings 19:15-21:00.
