University Surrey Society Change Ringers
The University of Surrey Society of Change Ringers (USSCR) would love to welcome any ringers coming to the University of Surrey in September. We are a small society that is currently made up of past students due to ‘student churn’. Current students are always made welcome at the local practices in Guildford. The society holds two events a year, a summer tour and an annual dinner. These are both well attended and are a great place to meet other university ringers. Our summer tours have been organised by past students in their local area. This has let us explore lots of areas of the country from Northumberland to Wales to Somerset. This summer we are going to Essex and our dinner is being held in September on the University Campus. Please do contact us via the contact us if you are coming to Surrey so that we can send you information on our events. We hope you enjoy your time at Surrey as much as we all have!

The bells are rung every Sunday before the 9:45 Eucharist, the 18:30 Evensong, and on the 3rd Sunday of the month before the 11:30 Mattins. They are also rung for special services and weddings and to mark special occasions of local or national significance. The ringers practice each Tuesday 20:00-21:30. Quarter peals are often rung prior to the 18:30 Evensong on Sundays & once a month on Friday evenings. Peals are sometimes rung on Saturday mornings and for special occasions.
The Cathedral has a dedicated group of 20–25 ringers, who aim to produce a high standard of ringing. Visiting ringers are always welcome at the Tuesday practices and by prior arrangement for Sunday service ringing.
