Walsgrave Society Change RingersThe Walsgrave Society Change Ringers (WSCR) are a group of friends and ringers that get together every Monday evening at a lovely ring of six, followed by a pint at the nearby pub. It’s an easy commute from Warwick and Coventry universities.

Walsgrave Society Change Ringers practice at Walsgrave on Sowe – see map below (Coventry District) on Mondays 19:30-21:00 then on to the The Red Lion next door (Ansty Rd, Coventry, West Midlands CV2 2EY Tel: 024 7661 2168). Service ringing is by arrangement.

Sunday morning service timings are such that there can be a circuit of Walsgrave, grab coffee in church after 0930 service at Stoke before ringing there and then on to the Cathedral.

The Coventry Guild website can provide details of Leamington and Kenilworth which have a reasonable amount of student housing for Warwick University.

All Saints, Allesley, (8 bells, 12-0-0): Tuesdays from 19:30, Sunday ringing 9:30-10:00 & 17:30-18:00. Includes some learners & everything up to easy surprise major.
St Michael, Stoke, Coventry, (8 bells, 13-1-9): Wednesdays from 19:45 (usually some teaching going on from 1930), Sunday ringing 10:30-11:00. Includes some learners & everything up to standard 8 surprise major. The band have provided (and still help with) ringing at Walsgrave. St Michael is very much in the student housing area for Coventry University
Ruined Cathedral Church of St Michael, Coventry, (12 bells, 33-3-6): Thursdays from 19:30, Sundays 11:40 meet to ring for an hour after the 1030 Eucharist. Just about have a band for up to simple Surprise Maximus and now regularly ring standard methods on 10 & 12. Almost all of the band ring elsewhere and come into the city centre for this ringing (so plenty of lifts available!)
